After going on her very first missions trip to Mexico last summer, Lydia was inspired to keep evangelizing and sharing the love of God with others. Whether that be through music/praise or simply by telling others about God’s love, she aims to serve God in any way she can.

Prayer Request: To keep the team safe/healthy, to be able to experience God's plans, and to be a good team member.

SOPHOMORE/PICKLE MUNCHER

After learning about & falling in love with evangelism in her recent years, Hannah joined Rooted's new highschool missions team this past & upcoming summer. For this year, she knows that God will do amazing things through this team and trip, and is looking forward to all of His upcoming plans.

Hannah's prayer request for this trip is for safety, guidance, especially spiritually, throughout, and a focused heart and mind on spreading the Gospel and sharing God's Word in Mexico.

FRESHMEN/SPIDERMAN ENTHUSIAST

This is her first mission trip ever! Sam is hopeful and nervous to see what God has in store for her. She is excited to serve the people of Mexicali, alongside her fellow Rooted youth members.

Her prayer request is that God would be able to use her to change the hearts and minds of Gods children, and that everyone on the team will be able to grow their faith and relationship with God.

SENIOR/#1 STEPH CURRY ENJOYER

This is Theo’s second short term summer missions trip with Rooted ministry. He is currently a graduating senior attending Valley Christian High School. He enjoys watching and playing basketball, spending time with friends, fishing, and listening to music.

His prayer request for him is to be able to share his faith boldly, and being able to trust in God throughout the missions process.

SOPHOMORE/VICTOR WEMBANYAMA

Connor’s currently a sophomore at TKA. This will be his 2nd mission with Pathway Youth Ministry. He enjoys watching basketball in his free time and plays volleyball at school.

His prayer request is for confidence, to be outside his comfort zone, and for patience when things don’t always go to plan

Although Ethan’s been a Christian his whole life, the closest he’s been to missions had been a trip to Gleanings (YWAM). He’s excited to go on this missions trip to Mexico and spread his faith.

His prayer request is for a safe trip, and personal growth in his relationship with God.

After living his life out for God since he was a child, Micah has learned countless things about God and his people. One question that drives him to serve: if God was able to give all He has for the world, why can’t Micah give all he has in that moment for someone else?

His prayer request, is to be patient and to love the others on this trip. That not just himself but others to also meet God on a personal level, and hopefully bring them one step closer to God.

PASTOR/MAC & CHEESE CONNOISSEUR

After being a part of his very first short-term trip in HS, he fell in love with the wider Kingdom work being done in the world. And after almost 13 years, 18 trips to 10 different countries; God has only increased that love for missions more and more.

His prayer request is for wisdom as he leads the team, safety for the team, and for the students to encounter God in a deep, personal way as they follow God’s invitation to the Kingdom work in Mexico.
